We recently hosted a Zoom conversation with Rachel Faller the founder of tonlé, a sustainable fashion label with all the right style and values.
Working in Cambodia on a Fulbright scholarship, Rachel saw the impacts of fast fashion first hand, and she struck a new path. Her clothing line is zero waste, though we would argue it is negative waste, as fabric is sourced from aftermarket remnants, saved from a landfill. In a bright workspace in Cambodia, the tonlé team of artisans are paid a living wage and use even the smallest scraps of leftover fibers.
Listen in on our discussion of fashion with Rachel, as she describes her journey, her inspiration, the impact of the fashion industry, and the challenges and opportunities small businesses have in this pandemic economy.
Meet the Investee is a free series of virtual events held on Zoom. We invite you to attend in the future, to listen in and be inspired by the next wave of innovative green businesses that the Untours Foundation supports. Join our mailing list to get updates and invitations.
