As a privately held business, Rhino Foods emphasizes long-term financial health in order to invest in its customers, employees, and community. Ted has developed a love of business because it keeps him on his toes. He enjoys the journey that he (along with fellow Rhino employees) has traveled since founding the business with his wife Anne in 1981.
As a relatively small company, Rhino Foods believes that developing and making products for some of the largest food companies in the world is the right venue for its creative energies. Ted is very proud that Rhino Foods co-invented the number one ice cream flavor innovation in the last 30 years, created the number two bestselling ice cream novelty in C-stores for a three-year period, and developed the bestselling reduced-fat retail cheesecake for 10 years.
Ted’s passion keeps him deeply engaged at Rhino, but his family always comes first. Ted feels fortunate that his wife, Anne, has been supportive of the time and effort it takes to own and grow their business. Anne and Ted, along with their sons Ned and Rooney, have always enjoyed being active together in sports, travel, or at home. They are now “empty nesters” but still enjoy having family nearby.
