The Tuscarora Organic Growers is a cooperative made up of over 40 organic farms in central Pennsylvania and committed to the production of healthy food and sustainable farming.

Founded in 1988, its first cooperating farms soon realized the benefit of sharing marketing and sales resources.

In the years that followed, many other organic farms joined and new ways of cooperation emerged, so that farms were able to grow complementary crops rather than compete with each other, coordinate crop rotation, and create an unparalleled level of crop diversity and service to buyers.

Together, the small member farms stay strong and profitable, focusing on sustainable food production and high quality food. The coop sells hundreds of thousands of cases of produce to regional food retailers each month.

The Untours Foundation is proud to invest in their growth.
