Witness to Innocence (WTI) is the only national organization in the United States composed of and led by exonerated death row survivors and their family members. The mission of WTI is to abolish the death penalty by empowering exonerated death row survivors and their loved ones to become effective leaders in the abolition movement. The Untours Foundations made a short-term loan while WTI waited for a grant from the European Commission Instrument for Human Rights to be disbursed. Although the Foundation usually makes loans to businesses, not nonprofits, we are responsive and believe that our resources should be on the street working for change as much as possible.
