Fonkoze

Fonkoze is a group of organizations created to address and remedy poverty in Haiti, with a focus on financial investment and empowerment of women and their families. Their model offers a Staircase Out of Poverty, a program created to help make real and sustainable change in the lives of the community they serve.

Fonkoze Financial Services (SFF) is a mission-driven Haitian microfinance company that aims to lift families and communities out of poverty through microenterprise.

The Fonkoze Foundation (Fondasyon Kole Zepòl) is a Haitian non-profit organization that provides programs to support Haiti’s ultra-poor and provide their microfinance clients with the resources and skills they need to overcome obstacles and find long-term success.

Fonkoze USA is an American nonprofit that seeks financial and technical support for its Haitian partners. It is the fundrasing arm of the family and helps educate Americans about Fokonze’s work in Haiti while securing investment funding and other forms of assistance for their cause. They facilitate investment to help build jobs and change in Haiti

Fonkoze’s Staircase Out of Poverty provides a comprehensive approach to poverty alleviation in Haiti. Each of its steps is uniquely designed to provide a woman with the resources and support that she needs to ascend from poverty, wherever she is in her climb. Along with four main steps, Fonkoze’s Staircase includes “Handrails”—programs that provide Fonkoze members and clients with business skills training, education, and health services to support them as they progress.

The Untours Foundation is proud of our past investments in this life-changing organization.
